Swami Vivekananda Book bank was launched in January 2006 through which we loan books to 20 economically backward students studying in engineering colleges.
We have collected books from many old students and also bought few books. DISHA Foundation played a major role in launching the Swami Vivekananda Book Bank.
We follow well defined process to identify the economically backward students. Our process mandates the students to get the application form notarized by Professors/Head Of the Departments.
Team Nanmai has identified 3125 economically backward students currently studying IX Std and XI Std in Govt. Schools for providing notebooks in June 2016. These students span across 83 schools in 14 districts.

We have conducted 29th books distribution function through Swami Vivekananda book bank on Sunday, 23rd July 2017.
30 economically challenged Engineering students were loaned free books in this function
In this year, 70 students benefited from the books distribution activity which was presided over by Mr. Ravi, Retired Branch Manager, Indian Overseas Bank.

In the month of July, Engineering books were distributed to 55 B.E. students across various specializations.
Dr. R.R. Krishnamurthy, HOD of Applied Geology Dept, Univ of Madras honoured the function by being the Chief Guest and distributed around 275 books to the underprivileged students from Chennai, Thiruvallur and Villupuram districts.
